‘Toy Story 4’ Trailer: Introducing Forky
Greater than years after the unique “Toy Story,” the toys are again on the town with a teaser for the fourth installment of the smash animated franchise. Favorites like Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) and Jessie (Joan Cusack) frolic in a circle to Judy Collins’s cowl of Joni Mitchell’s “Each Sides Now” till a newcomer wreaks havoc. That might be Forky.
The googly-eyed modified spork insists he’s not a toy, and he’s voiced by Tony Hale, an professional at taking part in misfits from his roles because the socially awkward aide Gary Walsh on “Veep” and the insecure brother Buster Bluth on “Arrested Growth.” Owned by Bonnie, the little woman who in “Toy Story three” inherited the toys from their authentic proprietor, Andy, Forky joins the gang for an eventful journey on the street.
“Toy Story four” would be the first Pixar launch following the Dec. 31 departure of the Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios’ chief government officer, John Lasseter, who was accused of undesirable hugging and admitted to “missteps.” The movie represents the characteristic directorial debut of “Inside Out” co-screenwriter Josh Cooley and was written by newcomer Stephany Folsom.
“Toy Story four” hits theaters on June 21.
